Clouds in My Coffee

Clouds In My Coffee

PSA from a dentist’s daughter

I remember working at my dad’s office starting at 13 years old.  I would work and listen to Carly Simon singing “You’re So Vain”  thinking about why I have to listen to the Lite station?  Where is the cool music?

I was convinced by dad, when I was in a really bad place, to rejoin the dental hygiene business.  He supported me in my endeavors and cheered me on at my graduation and gave me a job in his office.  We had a blast working together.  I remember joking with patients that he made me call him Dr. Brundage.

He retired just recently and I miss him so much. I have been asked to leave the practice just recently.  They want to go in a different direction and I am not included or invited.

I started taking singing lessons about a year ago and it is pretty exciting that I am performing two songs – Hallelujah and You’re So Vain.

There are still clouds in my coffee as life goes on.  Those damn clouds.
