About Trish Smithing
Becoming stronger through inspiration and empathy is the basis of Trish. Empowering women in their lives by increasing their confidence through teamwork, beautiful skin and radiant smiles is her focus.
Trish Brundage Smithing grew up in River Forest and at an early age she discovered the public library and fell in love with books. Many summers were spent in the A/C in the children’s section in the basement of the library. This led to extensive travel and a thirst for knowledge. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, she has been trained as a chef at the Culinary Institute of America in New York, and is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She is also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and is their Recording Secretary and volunteers for the Aging Care Community. Last summer she wrote a great book illustrating the history and culture of Northern Wisconsin, filled with fun stories and pictures. She also was a docent at the Lake Tomahawk Museum.
Due to her compassion for others, she began giving presentations to the elderly on oral health and because of her vast experiences, she parlayed that into a career as an educational speaker. In her capacity as community health worker, she created a number of very successful seminars, programs and lectures. Her presentations are fun, funny and she is a true entertainer mixing real life stories with her educational knowledge. She has appeared on the high school TV channel RBTV. She is also a substitute teacher and enjoys teaching art to her students. Trish has shared her love of history, comedy, books, oral care and art with stories and programs about people, places and things.
